Aeroporto Fortaleza takes off to the future, with technological support from Digicon.
FRAPORT, the airport operator, will rely on Digicon’s partnership in its passenger boarding.
With a movement of passengers close to half a million per month, the international airport of Fortaleza, in Ceará, is an important strategic point of the economy of the Brazilian Northeast. Recently delivered to the German operator FRAPORT, which won other bids in Brazil, such as that of Salgado Filho, in Porto Alegre, the airport goes through an important process of innovation, with deep improvements in its equipment, for better comfort of users, companies and airlines.
FOR A COMPLEX TASK, A COMPANY USED TO GREAT CHALLENGES: DIGICON.
Digicon has proven experience in large people flow operations. For this reason, companies rely on Digicon’s technological support and innovations. In order for the Fortaleza airport to gain even more agility, flow and comfort, Digicon will supply and install the dFlow BCBP (Bar Coded Boarding Pass) equipment responsible for the control of passengers entering the boarding area. 14 dFlow passageways were provided and installed to meet domestic (8 passageways) and international (6 passageways) boarding demands.
THE ADVANTAGES OF DFLOW AT THE AIRPORT
With the dFlow’s exclusive sensor, wider and safer passages will be allowed, ensuring total accessibility, with maximum fraud control (tailgaters). Thus, the operator will reduce the number of agents for the manual reading of boarding passes, reducing lines, increasing the inflow of passengers and, of course, reducing their costs.
SYSTEMS INTEGRATION BETWEEN GIANTS SITA, specializing in the airport market, uses the consultation software (PAX-SEC) that will be installed in Fortaleza. PAXSEC allows the consultation and information of flights, such as status of flights, schedules, boarding gates, etc. Digicon will install dFlow BCBP, which is integrated with SITA’s software to automate and speed up passenger boarding.
INSTALLATION TIME
The 14 dFlow passageways, including 8 passageways in domestic boarding and 6 passageways in international, were installed in October 2019. The dFlow BCBP will operate in an integrated manner with SITA’s software and the complete operation of the new system at Aeroporto de Fortaleza started in November 2019.
