Digicon installs CatraxGo Uno turnstiles at A.C. Camargo Institute bringing more beauty and security to the environment
The A.C. Camargo Cancer Center Institute was inaugurated in April 23, 1953, in the city of São Paulo and since then has been playing a major role in the combat against cancer. A leader in scientific knowledge about oncology, it is an international reference center in teaching, research and multidisciplinary treatment. The institution’s activities are focused on integrated, highly complex assistance, teaching, and scientific research, offering oncology services to the private health network and also to the National Health System (SUS).
A.C. Camargo Hospital became Digicon’s customer two years ago in order to provide humanized care, well-being, comfort and protection to its employees and patients. The institution was looking for an innovative and technological solution to improve the access control experience at the entrances of its units.
Access control management in hospitals is an extremely complex activity. It is necessary to understand that the main objective is to provide a more effective security, ensuring the physical integrity of patients, visitors, doctors and employees in general. In addition, it is necessary to have total control over the flow of hundreds of people daily, without causing negative impact on the environment’s routines.
CatraxGo Uno turnstiles were recently installed at the main entrance of the hospital. More than 2 thousand employees and service providers pass through there every day. With the installation of these turnstiles, there was a spectacular gain in agility and security.
Access controls also help to better control the maximum limit of visitors per room, which is usually two people. That is, if the system detects that the limit of visitors in a certain room has already been exceeded, the turnstile can block access, only releasing a new access when someone leaves the place. These solutions are necessary to maintain the patient’s health and for the management of the complex itself.
Besides adding a modern design to the hospital’s reception, the green leds, for example, match the A.C.Camargo brand. The entrance also card collectors for visitors control, which guarantees the return of provisional credentials when visitors leave, avoiding unnecessary expenses with the replacement of this material.
The installation of these Digicon turnstiles made it possible to restrict access and extract reports to identify allowed accesses. This reduces operational costs and the need to hire professionals to supervise, while offering high quality and innovation to hospital’s premises.
